Okay, so I know that I haven't been on in forever and i'm sorry about that, but this is another part, I don't even remember if it's good or not, but I'm copy-pasting it from my Word doc of this story, so don't blame me if it sounds a little off.
PS. This is a rewrite of the previous part, plus some extra.
“You have officially been in here for a whole week; you have got to get out of here. For me, please, just go do something. Just get out of this apartment, get some fresh air, and maybe apply to the gym.”
“Are you telling me that I’m fat?” Amanda asked as she grabbed for the pint of ice cream by her bed.
Mallory slapped her hand away, “I’m not saying your fat, I’m saying that over this last week you’ve sorta let yourself go in a negative way. And that you could use the endorphins. Plus I know that you’re only wearing your gross baggy clothes because you were planning on gaining some breakup weight. Or at least, that you weren’t going to be showing off your bod any time soon.”
“She is right,” Peter nodded. “Those clothes are gross.”
“Hey, you all know my circumstance. Under other conditions I might agree with you, but not right now.” Amanda pouted, glancing down at her stained XL Ohio State sweatshirt and tattered chocolate yoga pants.
“You could use a makeover,” Dan decided. “And a positive attitude, while we’re off changing things.”
“Ya, go get in the shower and we’ll find you some decent clothes,” Mallory pulled her out of bed and shoved her in the bathroom as she, Dan, and Peter took of for the closet.
Amanda heard mumbling and murmurs as she stepped out of her clothes and showered up. When she stumbled out of the shower the mirror across the way was filled with steam. She grabbed the brush from the counter and dragged it through her just conditioned hair. Water dripped off the chestnut strands and fell to the floor. She combed her hair through then plugged in the blow-dryer and waved it towards her hair. When Amanda’s hair was dry enough, she wiped the mirror and looked at herself. She examined her near-blue eyes, small nose, and the fuller bottom lip. Her hair fell just to her breasts and carefully flipped at the ends. She pulled her lavender robe around her and waltzed into her closet to view her friends arguing over her clothing.
“So, what have you decided?” Amanda interrupted, earning a frightened glance from Mallory.
“You’re done already?” Mallory wondered, but didn’t give her time to answer. “Good, let’s get down to it. We each made an outfit and now you have to choose which you like best.”
Amanda glanced at each of her friends, each holding an awry of hangers and belts and hats. She wondered if each of them really only had one outfit. Dan presented his outfit first. There was a beautiful, brown cashmere t shirt dress, that he had paired with a gray wool pea coat and a pair of red stilettos. As for the accessories, he had with the dress a large brown leather belt with an alligator head for a buckle. She nodded to him, showing him that she liked his decisions, and he glowed with pride. But, of course he would do well selecting an outfit for her, Amanda acknowledged, he did work for a fashion magazine’s modeling department.
Peter on the other hand, was terrible at selecting clothes. God love him, but he had absolutely no sense of style. Even Dan had picked out the jacket and the slacks he was wearing at the moment.
Thanks for reading! Let's hope I find some time to add more of what I have written so far. Until then!
