First Part (Must Read in Order)

I am attempting to write a novel, so this blog is completely the story, my other blog is complete randomness. If you like any part, comment. If you don't like a part, keep it to yourself. You don't have to read this after all.
PS this is obviously not a final, just notes being jotted down. Grammer and flow might be slightly off.

(No title yet)

As stars lit the New York sky, Amanda turned from the window and prayed for night to never, ever end. Amanda just didn't want to have to wake up. It's not as if she wanted to die or do anything drastic, she just wanted to be free of the pressures the world brought upon her for like, ever. She knew her friends, Peter, Dan, and Mallory, would always be there for her, but she just wanted to be alone. Jake, her last boyfriend, just dumped her. A flat on her face, dumping. She said "I love you", he said "I think we should just be friends". What a friend he'd make after that. Amanda had been through break-ups before, she was 28 for God's sake, she just took that one especially hard. She loved Jake. She loved how his jokes always made her so much happier after a terrible day, how when he looked at her, it was as if it was only the two of them. And, no, there wasn't any sparks, but to Amanda, It was pretty much as close as you could get.
She had at least appreciated that he had done it in person. With todays technology, he could of easily escaped doing so. But rather than thanking him dearly for breaking up with her face to face, she slapped him across his face, called him a name that her mother would surely hate her for saying, and stomped off in her high leather boots. The only thing was, once she hit home, she was a crying mess. She did what any sane woman would. She grabbed the TV remote, a box of tissues, all the ice cream and wine she could carry, threw it on her bed, then slammed old Disney movies into her rock of a VCR, and curled in her covers watching Hercules.
